old Gourockian

Bert Lucas  Born 1923 in 10 Grenville road Gourock went to Both schools in Binnie Street Served my Time as a joiner at Tweedales joiner Shop on John Street. .. Joined the RAF . Now Live in Carluke . . As an apprentice I worked on the new Bay Hotel and the bank below ,,Was a Member of the 1st boys Brigade. Then Joined the ATC ,  in 1936 . Then the RAF 1942 . After the war I worked on the rebuilding of Gourock Pier for quite some time .  I had wonderful memories of Darroch Park where I played every day I could .,
