McCallum Crescent to become a one-way street
9 JuneMcCallum Crescent seems likely to become a one-way street after a campaign by local dad Roald Hansen and Councillor Ronnie Ahlfeld.
As reported in The Greenock Telegraph, Mr Hanson began his campaign after watching drivers mount the pavement in the street to get past parked cars, putting kids at risk.
Mr Ahlfeld took up the case and now the recommendation to make the street one-way, from Binnie Street to Broomberry Drive, will go to public consultation. However, the process could take nine months.
It's good news that members of the public can get action like this. But what do you think? Should McCallum Crescent become a one-way street? And are there any other potential traffic blackspots around Gourock you'd like to see tackled?
