Police hunt family of dead woman with Gourock connections

Strathclyde Police is appealing for help in tracing the relatives of an elderly woman who died at home.

It is thought that Elizabeth Anderson of Shawhill Road, Shawlands, had friends in the Gourock area, though officers do not have any details on who this family are.

The 87-year-old was found dead in her home on Wednesday, January 11 2012.

There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death.
Despite enquiries, officers have been unable to trace any relatives of Ms Anderson.

She had a brother William Anderson and a twin sister Catherine Anderson both of whom have passed away.

Anyone with information about Elizabeth Anderson or who can help find family members is asked to contact Constable Belinda Rafferty at Govan Police Office on 0141 532 5468.
